Should America Start Closing the Borders?

my hubby & i had a debate tonight, so i'm kinda taking a poll..... my hubby says we should stop immigrations and start closing up the borders - except in cases of political asylum or a family member.

Ballistic, it is a real global problem. It seems no government, yet, is being held responsible for their continual dumping of alien's onto a different country. Just what do these government leaders that work in cohoots with each other hope to gain? I have an idea it's just a small indication of what the NWO will produce. Like it or not multiculturism is being forced fed most countries, and people are tired of it.

I had more respect for diversity before the government's began this tactic. What many of us are seeing is not the able and willing immigant, but the criminal and lazy element. I have upmost respect for any one that can rise above unfortunate circumstances and contribute back to the community. But it just isn't happening from where I sit and hate hearing it is in overdrive in other countries as well. Not surprised or shocked, just reminds me how big a problem this has become.

It isn't just the American who is being forced into the box. But do you think people from other cultures can unite to fight this NWO that loves our discord and hatred? I have serious doubts about all this multiculturism and how the world will live in peace and harmony.

Yes. Close the borders and kick all illegal aliens out. And while we're at it, let's kick of few of our own out just for good measure because I'm sick and tired of paying for rift-raf people that work the system negatively instead of letting it help them advance. And worse yet, the law making it possible for every child born in this country to get welfare/food stamps/free medical; hell, you name I guess it's free to just about everyone other than the citizen who believed in the "great American dream" and worked their arse off just to pay untold billions of dollars to anyone coming into this country.

It's friggen' high time to take measures for ensuring some safety and concern for the American People. And if that means closing down our borders, then I'm all for it. Maybe then those of us who believe in diversity and fairness can get our shit together and stop fighting over every little insignificant bullshit word that they find fault with. Hell, let's begin acting like what we think America stands for instead of welcoming with open arms those who could care less about anything other than what they can get the taxpayers too cough up.

P.S. Like we in this country are expected to do, let those who come here stay at home and help resolve some of their own strife. I'm not responsible for every Tom Dick Harry that finds it easier to flee rather than fight for their homeland. And then we Americans can delude ourselves that they care about this country??? when they won't even help look after their own????? I'm starting to repeat myself herebecause it's time to shup up.

Sorry Ugg, I'm not laughing at you by any means when I say I'm sitting here laughing about what you said regarding being different. My gosh, someone else who walks the same path I used to, and sometimes can still get that sense of self-induced weirdness. No offense meant, but we are not alone in that area. Hell, I think it's great knowing there are others out there that experience the same emotions and thinking at times. Great reminder that I'm really not so different.

Actually, Ugg, the people that help teach me self-esteem are those who I can say, "ok, made me look good!" because there many who will never reconize themselves in any mirror; just continue blaming other people, places, and things for their inabilities. I think it's neat when humans can admit their shortcomings without beating themselves up...like I did for years...like I can still do on occassion. So I say, Welcome to the World. And don't be so darn hard on yourself.

As for still being In the organization...how in the heck do you cope with that aspect? Gosh, for myself I'd probably be a raving crazy woman who felt so trapped...hum, like I used to be. Anyhow good cheers are sent your way.

Lyin eyes, I'd be interested to know what ever happened to the person involved with that poor child. That is one sick, sick person. I can see where keeping a person like that alive is beneficial to society...NOT! maybe the taxpayers can just continue coughing up hundreds of thousands of dollars yearly to keep such vile filth alive. After all we are such a loving and compassionate country where capital punishment is just not a nice thing....Ah, humbug!!!

It's easy for some of us to say "weak willed." I heard the same thing over and over in A.A., and that's one contributing factor to my departure. Although I use that term at home in private conversation about some. You know, the human angle we all get lost in.....

And don't forget the old addage about opinions....we all have them. No offense meant by that either. It's just that we all do hold near and dear our opinions. But there are many who seem to think their opinion is more important then other's. Then you get, well you know...and it sure ain't peace and love so many preach about.

I think it's easy for many to get caught up in a belief system that shapes to our ideas. Personally I tired of hearing this and that when in fact, or for me at least, what I was being told didn't/doesn't match actions. That included all the psychic new age stuff, too. And of course organized religion of any sort is out of the question, too. And I don't want to forget politics! How do you know when a politician is lying? When his lips are moving. Same old "joke" in A.A., and for attorneys.

So what works for me today is just doing my thing whatever it might be and accept responsiblity for my decisions. Maybe because I'm getting older, and as long as people don't try and shove their belief at me because don't ya' know, they all know what's best for everyone yadayadayada......that's when I take leave.

Be true to thine self, eh.

astral projection

i was wondering if anyone has dabbled in astral projection.

i have been doing it recently and it has been really amazing.

there is so much that we dont know about as humans.

I'm probably more skeptic these days about alot of things, but astral projection I believe just might be possible. I can only go by my own experiences, and I do tend to believe my husband when he related a story about his travels one night.

The one that I cannot reckon with is reincarnation. But even then I've witnessed some pretty amazing stuff that was brought on by a Reiki session. So who really knows which way the wind blows in some of these matters, eh.

Through the years I've learned to just accept self responsibility for the quality of life I desire. Don't put as much thought into practicing any particular belief system, but let life happen...and boy, does it ever! It also brings forth occurances that just can't be humanly explained. But then that's my story and I don't care whether other's believe or not.

YUMMMMMMMy. It all sounds so good!

I make zucchini/molasses bread with either raisen or walnuts. It's best after it's been wrapped and frozen for a few weeks, so I can get baking done earlier. Too, my husband likes a cranberry salsa that's different. Here in the southwest anything with the word salsa attached gets attention. Hum, I just had the distinct feeling that I've posted this same comment way back on an old thread. Geezz, I must be getting old.

We also have a tradition of giving away home canned goodies. Everyone loves that and the baked goods. Guess it's become tradition over the years. Anyhow we enjoy it.

Oh yes, I've had some nasty burns having worked in kitchens for many years. Ouch!

I would agree with the Aloe Vera treatment. Perhaps an oitment with Tea Tree Oil would work wonders, too. Chin up though...good reminder of what you just said about accidents happening. It ain't no fun.

I bought a Xmas Tree

yesterday, i did something i would have never thought in a million years id be doing: my husband and i went out and bought a xmas tree!

we spent yesterday decorating it, and setting up the lights.

i t looks beautiful in our loungeroom and we are really proud of it!.

Joann, you're funny. 'gonna catch heat.' Nah. Although I'm opposed to moving it. Heck, in the first place how many of you have ever tried moving a fully decorated tree to a different location? Ain't easy. So just to please someone who might take offense you'd go through all that work, and guilt, and hiding, and shame that you might feel afterwards because "once again" we "played" into their thinking. NOPE. Please don't take your tree down. Please, please.

Didn't you just tell us how much you enjoyed the whole thing? Why would you sacrifice those wonderful, warm and loving memories for the other memories that brought you here to begin with? Do what makes you and your family happy and toss guilt, fear and shame right out with the Grinch.

Well, do be nice to Mr. Grinch. He's ok in our book...but you get the drift.
